The Mindful foundation has partnered with The Oxford Mindfulness Foundation in India. Geetika, the Founder and Director of The Mindful Foundation, India being the first Indian to be receive a Trained
Teacher certificate from Oxford Mindfulness.
The University of Oxford Mindfulness Foundation Centre (OMC) was established in 2007 by Professor Mark Williams and colleagues at the University of Oxford Department of Psychiatry.
As an independent charity the OMC has grown into a leading charity in the mindfulness field and now operates under the name of the Oxford Mindfulness Foundation. The charity continues to have a strong collaboration with the University of Oxford around MBCT curricula development, research on impact, and field wide communications.
Oxford Mindfulness offers teaching, training and ongoing development activities, much of the curricula used is developed in collaboration with the University of Oxford and managed in a shared curriculum oversight group. They also collaborate on field leading mindfulness research.
In response to the significant growth in mindfulness over the last few years the Oxford Mindfulness Foundation has increased partnerships with world leading universities and field leaders. In order to support this growth with an appropriate organisational structure the partners with international colleagues to deliver teaching, training and ongoing development activities
The Mindful foundation is the sole partner of The Oxford Mindfulness Foundation in India. Geetika, the founder and director of The Mindful Foundation being the first (and the only Indian) to be certified by the OMC for MBCT.
